Welcome to the Center for Spiritual Living of Greater Cincinnati!

Looking for peace of mind and an uplifting spiritual community? Welcome home to the Center for Spiritual Living of Greater Cincinnati.

If your spiritual journey has taken you in a different direction than literal interpretations of the Bible and traditional Christianity, Center for Spiritual Living will spark and encourage your spiritual intellect.

If The Secret, Louise Hay, Oprah Winfrey, Dr. Wayne Dyer, Marianne Williamson or Deepak Chopra have spoken to you, you’ll feel right at home at Center for Spiritual Living. Each of these wisdom teachers writes about a philosophy called New Thought. That’s what we explore at Center for Spiritual Living Greater Cincinnati.

Come join our warm, joyful, loving, non-discriminatory community Sunday at 10:30 a.m. for great music and a spiritual message. Center for Spiritual Living’s congregation is a diverse group of singles, couples and families with childcare and children’s classes too. We honor and welcome everyone, wherever you are on your personal or spiritual path.

Welcome our new Ministerial Staff

On March 2, the members of  CSLGC elected to accept Rev. Dee Coy as our new Senior minister. Rev. Dee has been affiliated with the center for over a year. He first came to us as a ministerial student. Then following his graduation, the members accepted him as the assistant minister.

In the past year or so, Rev. Linda Ketchum, the founding minister, became more clear about what she desires for her life. This included moving closer to her family and spending more time with children and grandchildren.

On March 2, with Rev. Dee taking the job/joy of Sr. Minister, Rev. Linda accepted the position of Assistant Minister.

The Center for Spiritual Living Greater Cincinnati is so very blessed to have these talented, thoughtful and inspiring people to lead and support us as we learn and grow in Spirit.

Your 2014 Leadership Council

On March 2, Dianne Stephens was elected to the 2014 council for the Center for Spiritual Living Greater Cincinnati. She joins current members, Shirley German, Peggy Lawson, Paul Skogstrom and Lauren Woodiwiss.

The first council meeting of the new session will be at 12:00 p.m., March 16 following the Sunday service. Congregants and center members are always welcome to attend.

At this first meeting, the council will be electing/assigning/accepting roles and responsibilities in addition to attending to the business of the center.

It’s all about the W.O.W

From February 15-21 several members of CSLGC attending the annual CSL “World of Wonder (W.O.W.)” conference in Orlando, FL. Rev. Linda Ketchum, Rev. Dee Coy, Shirley German, Diana Blaisedale, Gloria Darby and  Lauren Woodiwiss represented the center as voting delegates. Also in attendance, representing both their Cincinnati and Florida centers, were Dennis and Barley Garza-Mappes. See the official CSL recap of the conference.

There were sessions specific to each person’s role in their home center, e.g. ministers, practitioners and laity, as well as many general sessions and workshops that explored many aspects of the spiritual life, both the life of the center and the life of the individual. The attendees voted for president and counsel members as well as for several amendments aimed to improve operations.

Each person has their own story to tell as to what was most meaningful to her/him, but there is general agreement that the talks by Dr. Rev. Kenn Gordon, Bishop Yvette Flunder and Jean Houston were powerful, relevant, thought provoking and uplifting.

We asked some of the attendees to share their thoughts.

WOW!  The experience of convening with hundreds of like-minded individuals in prayer, celebration and exploration always blows me away and this year’s convention was better than ever.  With the best of New Thought musicians, speakers and authors under the direction of the highly professional and deeply spiritual leadership of Centers for Spiritual Living, I truly experienced our World Of Wonder and came away with a greater awareness and appreciation for the role of Religious Science at all levels.  In Gratitude for what I gained from the experience I look forward to next year’s convention in Las Vegas with excitement and great anticipation!, Rev. Dee Coy

The experience at Convention was an opportunity to share the vision of a world that works for everyone in an environment of encouragement, uplift-ment, powerful words and powerful song (followed by powerful movement of those who chose to rise from their chairs!). It was an affirmation of our connection to others who share a belief in the principles of SOM, and a sense of the improvement to the World we can make as we work together. It was a chance to hear from some of the most powerful speakers in our movement and be re-affirmed in our knowing of the Truth of Spirit present everywhere, here now, within, and without.I felt great appreciation at how each one there plays their own particular part-whether as speaker, musician, youth leader, practitioner, laity. How we each bring our part to the whole as a great big quilt has individual pieces, beautiful individually, and collectively making a work of art. Diana Blaisedale

I want to reinforce Diana’s last two paragraphs sharing my inspiration to collectively expose thousands of people to spiritual-living circles by personally encouraging our members and visitors to join OnlineNET community, click on “programs” and read about the SL circles. Gloria Darby

This adventure to the WOW conference was wonderful and it was exciting to have eight people from our awesome community to share the inspiring experiences of growth and expansion as we continue to move toward a world that works for all. Rev. Linda Ketchum

Starting on Wednesday evening, March 12, we will be sharing, via a DVD, the General Session/Keynote talks. Each night will show one or two, with a discussion to follow. Come and see some of the most inspired and motivating New Thought speakers of our time.
